Title: Development Agenca Project DA_4_01: Mission to Kampala, Uganda
Description: In the framework of the implementation of Development Agenda project DA_4_01 on Intellectual Property (IP) and Product Branding for Business Development in Developing Countries and Least-Developed Countries (LDCs), in Uganda, it is foreseen to undertake a final round of consultations with the stakeholders of the cotton, vanilla and sesame sectors. The purpose of these consultations will be: a)to obtain the agreement of the cotton Development Organization (CDO) on the proposed IP and branding strategy developed in the framework of the IP and Branding for development project; (b)to discuss with the Mukono Vanilla and Spices Societies and the other relevant stakeholders the progress made so far and future steps planned in the implementation of the branding strategies already endorsed; and (c)to discuss with Farmnet and other relevant stakeholders the progress to date and the validation and adoption of the IP strategy for sesame.
