Title: WIPO / FIT Australia Sub-Regional Multi-Stakeholder Program on Brands and Design for Industry and Medium and Small Enterprises (MSMEs) in the Pacific Islands and National Workshop on Establishment of Knowledge Transfer System
Description: 1.To upgrade understanding and use of brands and design by local businesses, home-grown industries in the region and MSMEs, towards strengthening their business competitiveness, facilitating sub-regional exchanges and fostering south-south cooperation in the area of branding and designs; and
2. To upgrade understanding on needed preconditions for establishment of an efficient knowledge transfer system in Samoa, providing examples of best practices;
Create preconditions for bridging the gap between MSEMs and academic institutions in the country in order to promote transfer of research results with potential economic value from universities and R&D institutions, as main IP generators in the region, towards businesses for their competitiveness.
