Title: National Seminar on Institutional Intellectual Property (IP) Policies for Universities and Public Research Institutions (PRIs), Maputo, November 29 and 30, 2016; and Institutional IP Policy Assessment Consultations
Description: Sending out Needs Assessment Questionnaires (NAQs) to the government on the one hand, and to the main institutions on the other, in order to evaluate the IP policy and technology transfer landscape in Mozambique. The goal is to comprehend the country’s relevant laws and policies; to learn the use of the IP system by universities and research institutions; their research activities and the technology management status; and their needs in terms of developing institutional IP policies. It is expected that the IPI will send out the questionnaires by October 24, 2016, with the planned deadline for collecting the results set for November 15, 2016.
A National Seminar on Institutional Intellectual Property (IP) Policies for Universities and Research Institutions, to be held in Maputo, on November 29 and 30, 2016. The main objective is to raise awareness on the importance and need for institutional IP policies in relation to the exploitation of research results.
Individual consultations with local authorities and selected individual institutions in Maputo, on December 1 and 2, 2016.
