The purpose of this mission is to attend the IJET-28 Conference for Japanese-English Translators, at which Mr. Caffrey and Mr. King have been invited to present on Japanese patent translation and the PCT Translation Fellowship Program, and to visit Kent State University to learn more about the curriculum and promote the Fellowship Program.
The IJET-28 Conference is the most significant gathering of Japanese-English translators in the calendar, and attending will allow us the opportunity to contact potential suppliers of translation as well as keep abreast of current translation industry trends.
This year, the conference is being held in close proximity to several universities an is expected to draw a significant number of students, which makes the conference a prime opportunity to also promote the PCT Fellowship Program to potential fellows. |
