Intellectual Property Manager, University of Cape Town
Rosemary Wolson has a BSc (Hons) degree in Microbiology and an LLB from the University of Cape
Town. She played a role in establishing UCT Innovation, the division responsible for UCT's
technology transfer and research contract management functions. She also has an interest in science
and technology policy matters, particularly the effect of intellectual property on innovation in
developing countries. She is a member of the International Advisory Committee of Public Interest
Intellectual Property Advisors (PIIPA), and sits on the Executive of the Southern African Research
and Innovation Management Association (SARIMA), a regional network of stakeholders. She is actively
engaged in building networks in research and innovation management with other African research
institutions.
