World Intellectual Property Organizations (WIPO) Report on Fact-finding Missions on Intellectual Property and Traditional Knowledge (1998-1999)
In 1998 and 1999, WIPO conducted fact-finding missions to 28 countries to identify intellectual property needs and expectations of traditional knowledge holders. This is the Report of these missions. The Report was published by WIPO in April 2001.
The Report was initially made available for public comment on July 7, 2000. Although the commenting period ended formally on December 15, 2000, all comments received until April 2001, when the revised Report went to press, were taken into account.
