Gap Analyses
At its twelfth session in February 2008, the WIPO Intergovernmental Committee on Intellectual Property and Genetic Resources, Traditional Knowledge and Folklore (the IGC) agreed that the WIPO Secretariat should make available in draft form two documents constituting gap analyses on the protection of traditional cultural expressions/expressions of folklore and on the protection of traditional knowledge. According to the Committee’s decision, participants had the opportunity to comment on the drafts, and a final draft would be published for consideration by the Committee at its thirteenth session.
