Symposia on Life Sciences and IP Policy
The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) will be holding a series of Life Sciences Symposia, starting in September 2007 at its headquarters in Geneva. These policy symposia are intended to identifying and clarifying the intellectual property dimension in the life sciences. They are addressed to a wide range of stakeholders, including international policymakers, government agencies, legislators, delegates, and civil society actors. They are open to the general public, and will not be subject to a fee.
The symposia open a forum for exchanging information and experiences in making use of the intellectual property system in life sciences. They explicitly do not aim at assessing or influencing discussions in any other forum and they will not produce any formal outcome.
